Dreams on Wheels is our response to the increasing number of children living and working in horrendous conditions on railway platforms. In conjunction with Plan India we work across 4 railway stations from Nizamuddin to Jhansi. Our aim is to quickly identify any new child found on a platform and rehabilitate and reunite them with their families before he or she becomes used to life on the platform.
Alongside this we continue to work with those children already at the stations ensuring their rights, opportunities to grow and develop and reuniting them with their families when possible.
Acknowledging the huge success of Dreams on Wheels, now CHETNA has initiated new initiative called Dreams on Streets. This is started in April 2016, and has been accepted as successful model by local authorities.
